Our Region
We serve the City of Fredericksburg as well as the counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford, Caroline, and King George.
Who We Are
The League of Women Voters of the Fredericksburg Area is open to all citizens who share our vision of encouraging informed and active participation in government. We work to increase understanding of major public policy issues and influence public policy through education and advocacy.
We are strictly nonpartisan. The League never supports or opposes any political party or candidate.
Our Role
The League of Women Voters has two separate and distinct roles:
Action/Advocacy: We use our positions to advocate for or against particular policies in the public interest.
Voters Service/Citizen Education: We present unbiased objective information about elections, the voting process, and public policy issues.
