Saturday, August 1
Member’s home and backyard
Address will be shared with registered attendees.
Join us for a relaxed League member gathering focused on food, fellowship, and community-building.
This will not be a formal business meeting. Instead, it is a chance for new and longtime members to meet one another, spend time together, and build the relationships that make civic work stronger. As our League continues to grow, we want to create space for members, leaders, families, and friends to connect outside of meetings, programs, and planning work.
Community-building is part of civic engagement. When we know one another better, we are better able to understand the needs, experiences, and hopes of the communities we serve.
What to Expect
This gathering will be hosted at a member’s home, with space both indoors and outdoors. Members are welcome to come as they are, bring family or spouses, and stay for as much of the event as works for them.
We are planning a casual afternoon/evening with:
- A potluck-style favorite foods table
- Outdoor games such as cornhole
- Board games
- Time to talk, relax, and get to know one another
- Space for both newer and longtime members to connect
Potluck Theme: Favorite Foods
Members are invited and encouraged to bring a favorite food to share. This could be a family recipe, a go-to party dish, a favorite snack, dessert, appetizer, drink, or anything else you would enjoy sharing with others.
Bringing food is welcome, but not required. Please still come even if you are not able to bring something.
Who Can Attend
This event is open to League members, prospective members, spouses, partners, and family members.
Whether you have been involved for years, recently joined, or are still getting to know the League, you are welcome.
RSVP
Please RSVP so we can plan for food, seating, games, and space.
The event address will be shared with those who RSVP before the gathering.
